Focus: Railway accessible

The Herald - Scotland's Homes - - News -

HOUSES situated close to a mainline railway station can command a premium, especially in outlying rural areas where the lifestyle benefits have to be carefully weighed against the commute to the city for work. This can be seen in the Scottish Borders, where according to Savills’ research, the number of transactions along the Borders Railway line from Edinburgh Waverley to Tweedbank has increased by 15 per cent since it opened a year ago.
