Advertorial: Enjoy a taster for Macmillan...
McCarthy & Stone
IN a bid to show its support f o r Mac mi l l a n Cancer Support, McCarthy and Stone developments across Scotland are taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, with eight of its developments putting on a spread of coffee, tea and a selection of cakes on various dates from today until between October 5, 2016.
The coffee mornings aim to raise vital funds to help Macmillan be there for people facing cancer. There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer and by 2030 this will have risen to 4m people.
Guests and homeowners can enjoy an array of tea-time treats and themed games such as a bake off competitions. Guests will also get to experience life at each of the developments, with the opportunity to mingle with current homeowners and get a taste for the lifestyle on offer.
Rosemary Giovino, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone in Scotland, comments: “At all of our McCarthy and Stone developments we host coffee mornings on a weekly basis, so it made sense to get involved with Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, open our doors to the public and raise funds for the charity.
“It takes just one person to make a donation at one of our coffee mornings and this could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families to receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. It’s a cause McCarthy and Stone feel very strongly about.”
Designed exclusively for over 60s, McCarthy and Stone Retirement Living developments boast a selection of stunning one and two bedroom apartments allowing homeowners to retain their independence in the form of home ownership whilst enjoying a beautiful setting and luxuriously appointed accommodation – all with the peace of mind that support and friendship are close at hand.”
