Teamwork is at the core of awards
When all is said and done, property is a business where staff really matter. The Herald Property Awards shine a light on their work...
H OUSING is not just about bricks and mortar, people matter too and once again, in this year's Herald Property Awards for Scotland, recognition will be given to those people within the industry who go the extra mile and make a tangible difference, both to the companies for whom they work and to the homebuyers in search of a new place to call their own.
Behind every successful developer and property company there are committed staff members and amongst the awards that will be handed out this year, three are dedicated to those teams whose outstanding commitment and tenacity deserves to be more widely acknowledged.
The Property Team of the Year category is open to all those working within the industry from legal teams to construction firms and Keith Benzie, Client Partner with Space & Time Media, which sponsors this award says: “Effective teamwork is the backbone of any progressive business and plays a huge part in the continued success of the Scottish property sector.
“From architects and planners through to the sales and marketing teams on the front line, and the land, commercial, legal and financial teams behind some of the best known names in the business, the role of a strong, focused team has never been more important.
“Space & Time Media are delighted to once again be sponsoring the ‘Property Team of the Year’ award at this year’s Herald Property Awards.”
Last year the Residential Sales Team of the Year was won by Cruden Homes West and Liz Mallon, Sales and Marketing Director said: “Cruden takes a very innovative, forward thinking and bespoke approach to the customer sales journey and we were thrilled to be recognised at last year’s Herald Property Awards.
“Winning the Residential Sales Team of the Year Award was a genuine acknowledgement of the collaboration of effort within the Cruden Homes West Sales Team, our construction company and our customers.
“Buying a home can be both an exciting and stressful time for people but our dedicated, expert sales team are proud that they are able to connect with our customers on both a practical and emotional level which helps remove any stress and ensures that customers look forward to and are excited to pick up their keys and start the next chapter in their new dream home.” Meanwhile Jonathan Riley of sponsors, Rettie & Co said: “Rettie & Co are delighted to be presenting the award for the third consecutive year for Residential Sales Team of the Year.
“It’s a prestigious award and thoroughly competitive with some fantastic winners over previous years.”
The third award will go to the letting sector, where staff have to satisfy the demands of both landlords and tenants.
This takes time and judgement so it is all to their credit that last year’s winners, Clan Gordon, has now won it twice.
Gillian McIntosh, Sales and Marketing Manager, said: “Having previously won in 2014, we were delighted to reclaim this award in 2016.
“Winning Residential Lettings Team of the Year is a great honour for everyone at Clan Gordon, recognising the hard work and dedication that our team put in to provide exceptional customer service for our landlord and tenant clients.”
