SCOTLAND Under 21 star Oli McBurnie netted a stunning 23-minute hat-trick on his debut for Newport County.

The 19-year-old Swansea City striker was sent on loan to fellow Welsh club Newport last week and came on as a substitute for his debut against Luton Town where he made an incredible impact with a quickfire hat-trick.

McBurnie, who starred for the Scotland Under 19s this year in the Elite Round in Austria, said: “The gaffer said go on and try and make an impact, and I think I did!

“I don’t think anyone really expected me to come on today and get a hat-trick, including me, and I am a very optimistic person.

“It is nice to help the team and getting the three points is the most important thing, but to get three goals and the match ball is not too bad!”
