Kingussie hope their 11th hour escape from relegation on Saturday can act as a revival spur in 2016, with the club rediscovering their heart in the play-off, writes Kenneth Stephen.
The Dell outfit were potentially 90 minutes away from their first ever top flight relegation. However, Saturday’s 2-0 win over Kilmallie in the Premiership play-off, at a sodden Bught Park, saw them escape that unwanted fate.
Russell Jones, the joint-manager, said: “After the match my co-manager Davie Anderson said to the players that, hopefully, in a few years’ time, we will look back at this game and say it was a turning point for this team. I certainly hope that is the case.”
