Ex-Scot­land player faces abuse trail

A FOR­MER Scot­land and Dundee United foot­baller is to stand trial af­ter he al­legedly be­haved in a threat­en­ing and abu­sive man­ner to­wards his part­ner.

Garry Ken­neth, 29, who was once val­ued at £2 mil­lion by the Tan­nadice club and has two Scot­land caps, now plays part-time fo Low­land League side Selkirk.

Mr Ken­neth, of Dundee, learned he will go on trial in March when he ap­peared at the city’s sher­iff court yes­ter­day.

He was also fined £300 for the driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance and had his li­cence en­dorsed with six penalty points.
