Two die in light plane crash
A PLANE crashed, killing its pilot and passenger, on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The pilot, in his 50s, and a female passenger in her 70s, died in the crash on private marshland near Wolferton.
The land is part of the Sandringham Estate.
Emergency services were called just before 11am on Monday and Norfolk
Police said the pair were pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch said. “We sent a team of inspectors to investigate a fatal accident to a Piper PA28 aircraft at Wolferton, Norfolk, yesterday morning.
“Our inspectors are on site gathering evidence.”
