MP says sexual harassment rife
FORMER culture secretary Maria Miller has revealed that she has been sexually harassed “numerous times”.
The Tory chairwoman of the Commons Women and Equalities Select Committee, who led calls for Muirfield golf club to allow women members in 2013, said harassment happens “on a very regular basis” in the workplace.
Asked if she had experienced such behaviour, Ms Miller told 5 News: “Sexual harassment, of course, we all have.
“I probably speak pretty bluntly to people and it’s not something I would tolerate.
“But, I think, perhaps, if you haven’t got that level of self-confidence, then you won’t deal with it.”
