Inquiry turns to nuns’ homes
FORMER residents of homes run by the Sisters of Nazareth are being asked to submit evidence to the Scottish child abuse inquiry.
The inquiry, chaired by Lady Smith, is examining historical allegations of the abuse of children in care and has been taking statements from witnesses since last spring.
It will examine Nazareth House in Aberdeen, Cardonald, Kilmarnock and Lasswade in the spring of next year.
Inquiry officials have asked those with information or experience of these four homes to come forward.
The second phase of the inquiry is beginning next month.
