Book ahead for tour
CHILDREN from Shawlands Primary School meet writer Lari Don and illustrator Ross Collins as the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour embarks on its 20th anniversary celebrations.
More than 100,000 young children have benefited from the scheme, which brings authors into schools, libraries and theatres, since 1998.
Gruffalo creator Julia Donaldson will be one of the best-known names taking part in the anniversary celebrations, with a tour in March.
Dame Jacqueline Wilson and former Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell will take part in a jamboree event for 2,000 children at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in June.
