Man jailed for brother at­tack

A VI­O­LENT man who left his brother brain-dam­aged and blinded in one eye af­ter an at­tack has been jailed for six years.

Ray­mond Gunn, 54, turned on his brother

Alan Gunn, 60, re­peat­edly kick­ing him af­ter a heated row about their wives.

Alan spent six months in hospi­tal and re­hab and still can­not walk prop­erly due to the sus­tained at­tack.

Ray­mond Gunn car­ried out the at­tack in his flat in Wyn­d­ford Road, Mary­hill, Glas­gow. He was orig­i­nally charged with at­tempted mur­der, but a jury at the High Court in Glas­gow con­victed him of the re­duced charge of as­sault to dan­ger of life.

Gunn waved to fam­ily in the court as he was led away to be­gin his sen­tence.
