TWO injured seal pups have been rescued by an animal welfare charity – the first of the season needing care.

Grey seal pup, Harry, was found with several wounds and an infected flipper in Boddam, Aberdeenshire, on November 2.

The other pup, Mad-eye, who is around five weeks old, was found on Dunnet Beach, in Thurso, with a collapsed eye – which will need to be removed.

Both were taken to the Scottish SPCA which is caring for them at its wildlife centre in Fishcross, Clackmannanshire.

The charity expects to care for more than 100 grey seal pups over this autumn and winter season.
