… prepares for her Sky TV debut

EDUCATOR Susanna Pinkus is celebrating after winning a competition to have a programme made and shown on Sky TV.

Ms Pinkus, who is an advancedskills teacher in the London Borough of Harrow and an academic at Cambridge University, submitted a proposal for a documentary called “Making a Statement”, which will follow the trials and tribulations of children and their parents who are attempting to obtain a statement of special educational needs.

She tells People: “I made the final shortlist of nine, and then I was informed that I had won, which was fantastic news. The programme will be made in the spring and shown on Sky’s Teachers TV channel, which is doing great things in the field.”

Ms Pinkus is involved in another educational project which she initiated — a twinning between Moriah Jewish Day School in Pinner, Middlesex, and the nearby Roxbourne Middle School, where she teaches.
