Come to Iran to study the Shoah
AN ADVISER to Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has claimed Hitler was Jewish, has been appointed head of an Iran-based world foundation for Holocaust studies.
The foundation is to be to set up in the wake of last month’s international conference in Tehran, at which Holo- caust revisionists and far-right extremists were among the participants.
According to a report by the state run Iran News Agency (IRNA), the foundation will “assign a committee to find out the truth about the Holocaust”.
Its secretary general will be presidential adviser Mohammad-Ali Ramin, who in an article on the Baztab web site — affiliated to Iran’s Expediency Council, which includes most of the country’s leadership — wrote that Hitler was Jewish and that his policies were aimed at the establishment of a Jewish state.
The new foundation, reported IRNA, was set up by participants at December’s conference. It will set up arrangements for a follow-up meeting.
