Christ­mas shop­pers had a sense of irony, it seems. When Sel­fridge’s book­store tot­ted up its sales, the num­ber one best­seller turned out to be “The Jewish Princess Cook­book”. Co-au­thors Ge­orgie Tarn and Tracey Fine told the Diary they were “over the moon” at the news that they had topped the list. “I’ve al­ways said that ev­ery­one should wake up to find a Jewish princess in their stock­ing,” said Ms Tarn.
