Born Widnes, June 21, 1913. Died Southport, November 6, 2006, aged 93.
A LIVERPOOL solicitor for 60 years, Daniel Abrahamson qualified at Liverpool University in 1937.
After serving at home during the Second World War, in the army pay corps and legal department, he set up his own practice in 1947. The firm stayed in Liverpool after he moved in 1971 to Southport. He was a trustee and president of Liverpool’s Childwall Hebrew Congregation, where he had been a founder member.
He quietly supported children and the elderly in Britain and Israel. He was particularly concerned with education, to secure young people’s future.
He is survived by two sons, his second wife, and two daughters and grandchildren from his first marriage.
