Daniel Abra­ham­son

Born Widnes, June 21, 1913. Died South­port, Novem­ber 6, 2006, aged 93.

A LIVER­POOL so­lic­i­tor for 60 years, Daniel Abra­ham­son qual­i­fied at Liver­pool Univer­sity in 1937.

Af­ter serv­ing at home dur­ing the Sec­ond World War, in the army pay corps and le­gal de­part­ment, he set up his own prac­tice in 1947. The firm stayed in Liver­pool af­ter he moved in 1971 to South­port. He was a trustee and pres­i­dent of Liver­pool’s Child­wall He­brew Con­gre­ga­tion, where he had been a founder mem­ber.

He qui­etly sup­ported chil­dren and the el­derly in Bri­tain and Is­rael. He was par­tic­u­larly con­cerned with ed­u­ca­tion, to se­cure young peo­ple’s fu­ture.

He is sur­vived by two sons, his sec­ond wife, and two daugh­ters and grand­chil­dren from his first mar­riage.
