JEWISH BOOKS are currently almost as rare as kosher bacon in the bestseller charts. An ever-intriguing exception is The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl, by “Belle de Jour”, standing high in the paperback charts. The mysterious, anonymous author told the JC last year that she is an enthusiastic shul-goer and had one Jewish client who paid to throw pillows at her.
