THE JEWISH PRESS
The Jewish News reports a “Lambeth talk” — the Archbishop of Canterbury hosting an Israeli and a Palestinian from the Parents’ Circle-Family Forum. Robi Damelin and Ali Abu Awwad, both of whom lost relatives in the violence, both met Rowan Williams and discussed their hopes for peace. Mr Awwad — who lost his brother and spent four years in an Israeli prison — recalled meeting bereaved Israelis. “That was the first time I saw an Israeli crying. I realised then that the pain is the same.”
Sometimes it is hard to be a man. In the Jewish Telegraph, KosherSex author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach gives some reasons why men do not open up to their wives. Apparently most men feel like emasculated failures who dare not express emotion or feeling. Aw, fellas.
And if you know a former cook called Mindy who used to live in Wilderton Road in Stamford Hill, who emigrated in 2002 and is now aged about 50, please call the Jewish Tribune. They are looking for her. We don’t know why.
