Rozanne Gallon turns pet-pampering into profit
ROZANNE GALLON loves dogs so much that she has set up a company devoted to their gourmet food needs.
The 41-year-old has recently launched The Organic Pet Food Company, which produces certified organic foods made from ingredients that are good enough for you and me to eat. The goodies are now being stocked in selected Sainsbury’s stores across the UK. The chain has already sold more than 1,000 packs, and Waitrose and Selfridges are also expressing interest.
She tells People: “I was tired of giving my pets foods filled with preservatives.” She experimented with pet-food biscuits on her dog Annie and husband Mel — with the consultation of animal nutritionists, she is quick to point out.
She adds: “There is a huge trend at the moment towards the humanisation of pets, from accessories to their level of care.”
Mrs Gallon attends Stanmore United Synagogue, Middlesex.
