Lauren Rich is recog­nised for her work with hospi­tal ra­dio

LAUREN RICH, 28, has been named one of hospi­tal ra­dio’s top pre­sen­ters. She was awarded the hon­our at last month’s Na­tional Hospi­tal Ra­dio Awards, or­gan­ised by the Hospi­tal Broad­cast­ing As­so­ci­a­tion. She picked up her ac­co­lade in the Fe­male Pre­sen­ter of the Year cat­e­gory.

Miss Rich, who works full-time at the move­ment for Re­form Ju­daism, has been vol­un­teer­ing at North­wick Park hospi­tal for the past eight years. She tells Peo­ple: “The award has given me a real con­fi­dence boost. Per­haps now I will pur­sue my ra­dio ca­reer. There are a lot of peo­ple who started out that way.” A pro­fes­sional singer-song­writer, she is in the process of record­ing an EP. Home is Bore­ham­wood, Hert­ford­shire. She is a mem­ber of Edg­ware Re­form Syn­a­gogue.
