Child’s play as Scrab­ble dou­ble up

SCRAB­BLE Un­der 15s clinched the league and cup dou­ble af­ter beat­ing Hen­don In­ter Schools in the Woody’s Cup fi­nal.

The team, man­aged by Steve Koff­man, came from be­hind to main­tain their sea­son-long un­beaten record with Josh Moss (2) and cap­tain Jor­dan Lewis earn­ing them a 4-1 suc­cess.

The Un­der 16 Tro­phy Cen­tre fi­nal was a one-sided af­fair with Red­bridge Jewish Care run­ning out 9-0 vic­tors over HMH. Daniel Le­vicki (3), Jake San­ders (2), Max Solomons, Ja­cob Kaye, Kane Hopps and an own goal com­pleted the rout.

Alyth Bel­size won a dra­matic Un­der 12 Woody’s Cup fi­nal af­ter beat­ing Stone­grove Park 3-2 af­ter ex­tra time.

Alyth Bel­size White over­came Lon­don Mac­cabi Li­ons to re­tain the Woody’s Cup Un­der 10 fi­nal af­ter win­ning 4-2 in a penalty shootout. Asher Gold­berg had can­celled out an ef­fort from Alyth’s Leo Ack­er­man. Goals from Kovi Ru­bin­stien (2) and Yosef Tay­lor helped Hen­don In­ter Schools Blue win the AJY Un­der 10 Plate 3-2 against Hen­don In­ter Schools White.

Sed­g­ley Park beat HMH 1-0 in the Phil Span­jer Un­der 13 fi­nal. Lon­don Mac­cabi Li­ons edged past Manch­ester Mac­cabi 4-3 in the John Rubens Un­der 15 Cup fi­nal.
