MSFL given green light

THE long-term future of Jewish football is safe after a meeting between representatives of the JC MSFL, Maccabi GB, the London FA and the Football Association to discuss the ethics of a league that operates an exclusive policy.

Organised via an invitation from the FA, the LFA explained that several such leagues operate in London and that the policy to include them means that they do not operate outside the framework of football under the auspices of the Football Association.

Maccabi League chairman David Wolff said: “We explained our position and how the league was born as a communal activity in the early 1950’s, and that its purpose is relevant today.

“The FA accepted these reasons and accepted that we were operating within the laws of the land and that they would seek no further meetings with us on this subject.”
