Mark Gold­berg, the for­mer chair­man of Crys­tal Palace, has taken over as man­ager of Blue Square South out­fit Brom­ley for a sec­ond time. His first spell at the club, which ended in De­cem­ber 2007, saw the team clinch pro­mo­tion to the Blue Square South, re­tain the Kent Se­nior Cup and reach the first round of the FA Cup.

Hen­don In­ter Schools A won the AJY Un­der 10 five-a-side com­pe­ti­tion af­ter win­ning six con­sec­u­tive matches in­clud­ing vic­to­ries over other group win­ners, HMH A and Alyth Bel­size A in the fi­nal round robin. Brady Mac­cabi fin­ished sec­ond in the Wat­ford Friendly League Un­der 10 Di­vi­sion af­ter beat­ing Strides 6-1 cour­tesy of goals from Max Dem­bina (2), Daniel Mes­lawy (2), Jared Veld­man and Nathan Daniels.

Is­rael’s Dudi Sela has moved up to a ca­reer high ATP rank­ing of 57.
