Brady edge it in seven-goal thriller

CUP win­ners Brady Mac­cabi A main­tained their march to­wards a dou­ble by beat­ing South Mancs 4-3 with goals from Scott An­sher (2), David Rose and Lau­rence My­ers in Di­vi­sion One. Bradley Lazarus, Nick Ro­man and Richard Smith scored for Mancs in the Di­vi­sion One clash.

Glen­thorne United A, who have played three games more, re­main a point ahead, kept up the pres­sure at the top with a 4-2 win over EDRS. Paul van Gelder (2), Danny Seller and Adam Lennard were their marks­men. Guest play­ers Paul Her­szaft and Steve Kreiger replied for EDRS.

Di­vi­sion Two cham­pi­ons Lon­don Mac­cabi Li­ons B dis­patched Faith­fold B 7-1 cour­tesy of David Price (3), David Pol­lock, Marc Mor­ris, Andy Lan­des­berg and Adam Lee.

Pel City con­tin­ued their im­prove- ment with a point from a 1-1 draw with Clay­hall A. Brian Deal net­ted for Clay­hall, Andrew Co­hen scor­ing for Pel.

Tem­ple For­tune moved into fourth place with a 5-0 win over Clay­hall B, with James Ryan (2), Steve Feiger, Al­lon Schick-Maier and Peter Kyte do­ing the dam­age. Trevor Tucker and Pete Su­gar­man were on tar­get as Brady C came from two down to draw against Glen­thorne B.
