Montana Boca United A were confirmed as Division One runnersup after Neasden B failed to beat Faithfold B. Written off by many at the start of the season, the club finished three points clear of Neasden following their 3-2 victory over Hendon United B a fortnight ago. They are relishing their first season in the Premier Division after joining Glenthorne United as the promoted teams. Manager Marc Ziedman confirmed that he “will be looking to make a few key acquisitions for next season, ideally with Premiership experience to supplement the handful of players already in the squad who have played at the top tier in Jewish football”. Looking back on a memorable season, Montana press officer Nick Goodmaker said: “This is just reward for everyone involved with the club.

“The First Division has been a fantastic advert for the JC MSFL this season with promotion and relegation issues literally coming down to the last kick of the season.

“Manager Marc Ziedman takes the majority of the credit, along with chairman Raymond Harrod, for taking a squad tipped for relegation into the big time for the first time in the club’s history. Marc is Montana through and through and this achievement is testament to his hard work and commitment.

“We know it will be tough next season but the team spirit, determination and quality of this squad gives us every reason to be optimistic.”
