GUARDIAN AND NOBEL

The Jewish Chronicle - - Comment&analysis -

For the record: the names of Israel’s three Nobel peace laureates (Menachem Begin, Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin) were not the only ones missing from the list when it was first published on guardian.co.uk ( Guardian list omits Israeli Nobel winners, JC, October 16). As the full note of correction attached to our Datablog explains, John Raleigh Mott (joint winner 1946), the League of Red Cross Societies (joint winner 1963) and the Quakers (joint winner 1947) were also among those unfortunately omitted in error. All winners absent from the list were reinstated as promptly as possible on the day of publication. Elisabeth Ribbans Managing editor, Guardian Elisabeth.Ribbans@guardian.co.uk
