Manchester Maccabi 1st eased into the third round of the Manchester County Cup courtesy of a 7-1 win over Inter Didsbury at Brooklands. Braces from Leor Sidle and Luke Fracheboud put Maccabi 4-0 up inside 25 minutes.
Managed by Scott McGarvey, the ex-Manchester United striker, Maccabi continued to run riot with wingers Emile Davidson and Rafi Leker terrorising the Inter full-backs.
With captain Ashley Loofe and David Chaytow pulling the strings, David Chaytow and centre half Carl Peters added before half time.
Although Maccabi took their foot off the pedal in the second half, defender Alex Lee, 17, gave an assured performance. Leon Huller came off the bench to net the goal of the game with a strike from 20 yards. Maccabi’s next matches comes in the League Cup against RVP on November 1.
