COS­GROVE CARE’S an­nual spon­sored walk took place on Sun­day at Rouken­glen Park, East Ren­frew­shire. Seventy sup­port­ers of the the char­ity, which helps adults with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties, were sus­tained by wa­ter and fruit do­nated by lo­cal su­per­mar­kets. A sa­fari and ad­ven­ture park, Ayr race­course and St Mir­ren FC were among the or­gan­i­sa­tions do­nat­ing prizes. There was even an award for best turned out dog, which went to Meg, whose owner Sharon Kaye is a Cos­grove fundraiser. “It was a good fun day and ev­ery­one en­joyed them­selves,” Mrs Kaye said. “We were even lucky with the weather as it only rained for 10 min­utes.” Cos­grove Care is cel­e­brat­ing its 50th an­niver­sary.
