COSGROVE CARE’S annual sponsored walk took place on Sunday at Roukenglen Park, East Renfrewshire. Seventy supporters of the the charity, which helps adults with learning disabilities, were sustained by water and fruit donated by local supermarkets. A safari and adventure park, Ayr racecourse and St Mirren FC were among the organisations donating prizes. There was even an award for best turned out dog, which went to Meg, whose owner Sharon Kaye is a Cosgrove fundraiser. “It was a good fun day and everyone enjoyed themselves,” Mrs Kaye said. “We were even lucky with the weather as it only rained for 10 minutes.” Cosgrove Care is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
