REV MAL­COLM Weis­man, one of the min­is­ters who helps smaller com­mu­ni­ties, spent a weekend in Chel­tenham tak­ing sab­bath ser­vices at the He­brew Con­gre­ga­tion. While the shul can­not hold Satur­day morn­ing ser­vices ev­ery week, mem­bers of the com­mu­nity al­ways hold Fri­day night ser­vices. At a re­cent board meet­ing Michael Web­ber was re­elected shul chair­man; Al­lan Sa­nis as trea­surer and Abi Fisher be­comes shul sec­re­tary.


LEEDS Si­nai Sy­n­a­gogue won a cricket tour­na­ment staged by Leeds Jewish Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Coun­cil. Par­tic­i­pants from lo­cal syn­a­gogues raised £900 to be split be­tween Leeds Jewish Wel­fare Board and the Teenage Can­cer Trust
