CANADA SETS UP OWN VERSION OF THE CST
CANADA’S JEWISH community is establishing a communal security service for the first time ever. The service will be run by lobby group Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), and will operate in cooperation with the police. A test programme is due to take place in Toronto, the home of the country’s largest Jewish community. Heading up the initiative is Doron Horowitz, a former IDF soldier and a security director at the CIJA.
