Sela: Israel can progress

- BY SIMON GRIVER

Dudi Sela believes that home advantage will play a part when Israel hosts Portugal in the Davis Cup Europe/africa Zone Group second round tie at Ramat Hasharon.

With the winners qualifying for the World Group promotion play-off, the singles rubbers appear finely balanced with Dudi Sela (62) and Amir Weintraub (199) taking on Portugal’s Frederico Gil (84) and Rui Machado (101). Sela said: “At home, I believe we can get through. I know I have to win my games but that’s what I’m here for.”
