Ben Wein­berg’s late win­ner may not have been the prettiest, but his teammates were not com­plain­ing as it put them just 90 min­utes away from pro­mo­tion to the Premier Di­vi­sion. The header com­pleted a mem­o­rable come­back and moved Brix­ton Old Boys A into pole po­si­tion to fin­ish run­ners-up in Di­vi­sion One.

First-half strikes from Josh Green and Jonny Kay had given sec­ond-place Norstar the up­per hand.

A half-time reshuf­fle from man­ager John Nitka had the de­sired ef­fect as Brix­ton dom­i­nated the sec­ond half. Ge­orge Fier­stone, R o b H e r - s h k o r n and Wein­berg or­ches­trated wave af­ter wave of at­tack as Brix­ton pro­duced their best 45 min­utes of the sea­son.
