EMBASSY PROTEST

The Jewish Chronicle - - Comment -

I was at the Israeli Embassy on March 30 and it is true we were heavily outnumbered ( In London, more needed to face down the bullies, April 6) — not least, perhaps, because it was close to Shabbat, which is when the PSC choose to hold their demos, although that did not deter Neturei Karta). But the ZF were not all in Hungary. Some of those who can claim to be “the usual stalwarts” were there.

However, I am not sure the lack of a megaphone merits criticism. I have yet to see that any useful purpose is served by the two sides bellowing meaningless insults at each other. I and those near me handed out numerous pro-israel leaflets and I like to think that even if only a tiny fraction were read, it may have done some good, particularly those explaining how Save a Child’s Heart helps Palestinian babies without discrimination.
