Tzedek’s for­tune tell­ers

IN­TER­NA­TIONAL DE­VEL­OP­MENT char­ity Tzedek had peo­ple in a spin in Eus­ton as it high­lighted the chal­lenges faced by women in poor coun­tries.

Its “Miss­for­tune” event, or­gan­ised in con­junc­tion with fel­lows of Tony Blair’s Faith Foun­da­tion, in­volved passers-by be­ing in­vited to turn a “wheel of for­tune”, higlight­ing gen­der in­equal­ity.

More than 250 peo­ple spun the wheel, whose sec­tions of­fered in­for­ma­tion about the typ­i­cal life­style of women from dif­fer­ent coun­tries.

Or­gan­is­ers also dis­trib­uted post­cards car­ry­ing de­tails on ini­tia­tives geared to­wards im­prov­ing the lives of women.
