MOURNING AT AUSCHWITZ

The Jewish Chronicle - - Comment -

A MOVING Thought for the Day on Radio 4 from Buddhist Vishvapani (alias Simon Blomfield), who recalled an interfaith visit to Auschwitz. He had lost family in the Holocaust, yet struggled with the visit. But one thing that made sense was mourning his grandfather and other victims when “I found, to my surprise, that Jewish prayers helped me do that more than Buddhist chants”.
