ALYTH Bel­size com­pleted a mem­o­rable sea­son by clinch­ing the dou­ble with a 3-0 suc­cess over HIS Blue in the final of the Mac­cabi Ju­nior Foot­ball League Un­der Nine Cup.

Two well-taken goals from m Lior Solomons-wise and an ex­cel­lent ll fin­ish from Rudy Ber­man saw Alyth Bel­size, cap­tained by Max Cut­ner, run out wor­thy win­ners in Edg­ware.

Alyth Bel­size man­ager Si­mon Cut­ner, who is as­sisted by Phil God­frey, said: “The boys played re­ally well and have had an ex­cel­lent sea­son, cul­mi­nat­ing in the dou­ble.

“This re­sult shows that the smaller clubs are also ca­pa­ble of win­ning sil­ver­ware and this can only be good for Jewish foot­ball.” Alyth Bel­size will fin­ish the sea­son by tak­ing part in the Jom Havoet­bal event in Am­s­ter­dam.

There was also dou­ble de­light for HIS White who ran out 4-1 win­ners against HMH Jaffa in the Un­der 10 final.

The clos­est match of the day saw HIS White beat HIS Blue 2-1 to lift the Un­der 11 cup.
