A Lit­tle lift for GB chal­lenge

THE man­age­ment set-up for the Team GB golf squad com­pet­ing at next sum­mer’s Mac­cabiah Games in Is­rael has been an­nounced.

Led by sports chair­man Steve Schindler, pro­fes­sional golfer Sam Lit­tle will of­fer sup­port to the squad which is look­ing to build on the suc­cess of the 2011 Euro­pean Mac­cabi Games in Vi­enna, where Team GB brought home 16 medals, in­clud­ing seven gold.

GB will send male and fe­male play­ers in the Open and Mas­ters cat­e­gories.

Co-chair­men An­thony Har­ris, the pres­i­dent of White­field Golf Club, will be the link to the north with Mac­cabiah stal­wart Adam Musikant over­see­ing the teams and the fund­ing.

Schindler said: “We are de­ter­mined to not only be the most suc­cess­ful team to rep­re­sent GB golf in Is­rael but also en­sure we em­brace the whole ex­pe­ri­ence of all the sports to­gether at the Games.”

Trial will be held on June 10 (south) and July 9 (north).
