HAVE Labour spin doc­tors missed a trick in their at­tempts to make Ed Miliband ap­pear less “weird”?

Help could have been at hand. Party sup­porter Mau­reen Lip­man re­veals in the

“I did in­vite Ed Miliband for Fri­day night din­ner, but it hasn’t hap­pened yet.”

Alas the chance has gone. Re­fer­ring to his re­cent break­fasteat­ing trou­bles, the ac­tress added: “Ba­con sand­wich! Silly bug­ger, if he thinks he’s com­ing here for din­ner af­ter that!”

Mr Miliband is still higher in her af­fec­tions than Ukip leader Nigel Farage, who is re­garded as an “****hole” for blam­ing her 1990s’ BT ad­verts for a de­cline in ed­u­ca­tion stan­dards.
