The Jewish Chronicle - - COMMENT -

Congratulations to Geoffrey Alderman. He has achieved what I thought was impossible – getting me to support Michael Gove.

If faith schools wish to teach “creationism” as an alternative to evolution in the science curriculum, they can do so, but not with financial support from the (hardworking or otherwise) tax-paying public.

If they wish to describe “creationism” as one of many stories, in the philosophy or cultural history or religious knowledge curriculum, they can do so and retain their funding. What’s wrong with that? Gunter Lawson The Ridgeway Finchley, London N3
