NEO-NAZI LANDS EU JUSTICE SEAT
GERMAN HATE-MONGER Udo Voigt may be smiling, but mainstream European politicians are not. Voigt, former head of Germany’s neo-Nazi National Democratic Party, is to take a seat on the EU Parliament’s civil rights committee.
Known for his xenophobia and antisemitic views, Voigt’s win came two weeks after he received a one-year suspended sentence for incitement to hate.
At the opening of the UN Human Rights Council last week in Geneva, commissioner Navi Pillay warned about an increase in xenophobia and cited Voigt as saying Europe has to “remain a content of white people”.
