Goldsmith eyes fresh talent

- BY DARREN WITCOOP

HANDBALL Adam Goldsmith believes Maccabi GB’s new handball club can follow in the footsteps of the futsal team and claim national glory.

Competing in the London Development League, MGB are looking for male players aged 16 and above who will work under experienced head coach Frank Wuggenig with a view to competing at future Maccabiah and European Maccabi Games.

“Handball is one of the fastest growingsportsintheworld,”saidGoldsmith. “It is a fast-paced and the fundamentals are very easy to pick up, so don’t think you have to have years of experience to play.

“We have a fantastic, well-run set up already in place for the new season, including a top-class coach in Frank.

“This is the perfect opportunity to take up a new sport, compete in a league at a high level and be part of the first ever all-Jewish UK Handball team.”
