Gold­smith eyes fresh talent

HANDBALL Adam Gold­smith be­lieves Mac­cabi GB’s new handball club can fol­low in the foot­steps of the fut­sal team and claim na­tional glory.

Com­pet­ing in the Lon­don De­vel­op­ment League, MGB are look­ing for male play­ers aged 16 and above who will work un­der ex­pe­ri­enced head coach Frank Wuggenig with a view to com­pet­ing at fu­ture Mac­cabiah and Euro­pean Mac­cabi Games.

“Handball is one of the fastest grow­ingsportsinthe­world,”saidGold­smith. “It is a fast-paced and the fun­da­men­tals are very easy to pick up, so don’t think you have to have years of ex­pe­ri­ence to play.

“We have a fan­tas­tic, well-run set up al­ready in place for the new sea­son, in­clud­ing a top-class coach in Frank.

“This is the per­fect op­por­tu­nity to take up a new sport, com­pete in a league at a high level and be part of the first ever all-Jewish UK Handball team.”
