RONY YE­DIDIA Clein, direc­tor of pub­lic diplomacy at the Is­raeli em­bassy in Lon­don, vis­ited Cardiff on a two­day mis­sion pro­mot­ing Is­rael. Her visit in­cluded a talk at Cardiff United Sy­n­a­gogue where 50 peo­ple from across the com­mu­nity heard her talk about the cur­rent sit­u­a­tion in Is­rael. The event was or­gan­ised by the Is­rael In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre Wales un­der the aus­pices of Philip Kaye, Honorary Con­sul of Is­rael in Wales and Linda Har­ris, direc­tor of IIC Wales.

AL­MOST 200 peo­ple at­tended Cardiff Re­form Sy­n­a­gogue’s gar­den party in the grounds of Llysfaen Pri­mary School where £1,513 was raised for shul funds. The event was or­gan­ised by the sy­n­a­gogue’s devel­op­ment of­fi­cer, Tracy Is­rael, and a com­mit­tee of shul mem­bers. Stalls and entertainment in­cluded a tombola, a jazz band and af­ter­noon tea.
