WILDERS IN SPAT WITH DUTCH COMMUNITY

The Jewish Chronicle - - WORLD NEWS -

THE NAME of right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders has been removed from a fullpage advertisement decrying a rise in antisemitism in Holland. The ad, which contained a petition signed by various Dutch Jewish leaders, ran last Thursday in the newspaper with the slogan “Criticism of Israel? Okay. Jew-hatred? No!” The petition’s organisers, Centre for Information and Documentation on Israel, removed Mr Wilders’s name after the populist politician criticised Dutch Jewish groups for failing to mention the growing Muslim community in Holland as a key reason for rising Jew-hate.
