The Jewish Chronicle - - COMMENT -

AN anxious call came into the office: has the memorial to the Kindertransport at London’s Liverpool Street Station been vandalised because the bronze statue of the little girl is missing?

Rest assured, she has been removed only temporarily. Network Rail says that the statue had become loosened from the plinth due possibly to people leaning on her. She should be back by the end of September, more securely attached. But the memorial may need a protective railing.
