Correction: Etz Chaim

The Jewish Chronicle - - NEWS -

IN LAST week’s edition, we carried a story on the admissions policy of Etz Chaim Primary School in Mill Hill, north-west London ( JC, September 25, 2015, Schools at Fault on Admissions Policy).

The article incorrectly stated that Etz Chaim had failed to meet the admissions policies expected of maintained schools in offering places last May, and that it had breached legislation relating to admissions.

It also wrongly stated that there had been a complaint that priority had been given to Jewish children of staff when allocating places.

Etz Chaim did not admit children to the school incorrectly and the school has not breached any legislation in admitting any of its pupils.

There was no complaint from any parent whose child did not get a place at the school because children of school staff were prioritised.

We apologise to the school for these errors.
