SOLD: THE CONTRACT THAT LET IT ALL BE
THE BEATLES’ first contract — signed by their Jewish manager, Brian Epstein — has sold at auction for £365,000.
Signed 53 years ago, shortly before the group’s debut
was released, it was the only document ever completed between the Fab Four and their manager.
Experts see it as one of the most important documents in music history and had expected it to fetch around £500,000 at Sotheby’s in London.
