‘Zion­ists be­hind 9/11’

THE LABOUR Party has sus­pended a lo­cal coun­cil­lor who said “Zion­ists” were be­hind the 9/11 at­tacks and Daesh.

Beinazir Lasharie, a former Big Brother con­tes­tant who is now a coun­cil­lor in west Lon­don, posted a video on Face­book ti­tled: “Isis: Is­raeli Se­cret In­tel­li­gence Ser­vice.”

She wrote: “Many peo­ple know about who was be­hind 9/11 and also who is be­hind Isis. I’ve noth­ing against Jews… just shar­ing it!” Later, she

Beinazir Lasharie added: “I’ve heard some com­pelling ev­i­dence about Isis be­ing orig­i­nated from Zion­ists!” She re­fused to apol­o­gise af­ter be­ing ac­cused of an­tisemitism by so­cial me­dia users. She later tweeted that her re­marks had been taken out of con­text, claim­ing she was “de­fend­ing Jewish peo­ple” as some of her friends had said Jews were Zion­ists.

She added: “Jews are not Zion­ists, let’s get that straight.”

She de­clined to com­ment when con­tacted by the JC.
