FOOT­BALL DAVID Gar­bacz is con­fi­dent Hen­don United Sports can ban­ish the mem­o­ries of a 6-0 maul­ing at the hands of New Salamis when they re­turn to MGBSFL ac­tion on Sun­day.

Gar­bacz was keen for his squad to make their mark in the Sun­day FA Chal­lenge Cup but, miss­ing key play­ers, they wereput­tothesword­bythe­former­win­ners.

He said: “We played one of the top teams in the coun­try with a dec­i­mated squad. I’ve never known an in­jury cri­sis like this be­fore. It is start­ing to hurt us.

“Nowwe’relook­ing­for­ward­to­get­ting back to the se­ri­ous busi­ness of Pre­mier league foot­ball with a trip to Red­bridge. Three points there and this match will soon be a dis­tant mem­ory.”
