Pa­tience key for young Scott

FOOT­BALL IAN Hen­don has told Scott Kashket to re­main pa­tient at Ley­ton Ori­ent af­ter scor­ing his first pro­fes­sional goal in the 2-2 draw against Ox­ford United in League 2.

Kashket, 19, came off the bench af­ter 79 min­utes at the Match­room Sta­dium and drilled home a shot from the edge of the penalty area in stop­page time.

Hen­don said: “Scott sits on the bench and is trav­el­ling every­where with us.

“He is learn­ing and to be fair to him he is the last one out on the train­ing ground. He wants to learn and lis­ten so I am de­lighted for him to come on and score.”

Nick Black­man took his tally to 11 for the sea­son af­ter hit­ting the win­ner for Read­ing against Guy Lu­zon’s Charl­ton Ath­letic fol­lowed by an­other in the draw at Rother­ham.
