Show your support for Israel — send a postcard

THE JEWISH National Fund has launched a campaign encouraging people to send messages of support to Israel.

The Blue Box Postcard Campaign is based on the charity’s iconic blue collection box. Supporters will be asked to send a postcard which carries the tzedakah box’s design.

JNF chief executive Alan Aziz said: “We want schools and charities to get involved and hope that by getting people to write a letter they cheer people up and let them know we are all think- ing of them and praying for them.”

He said the charity wanted to ask the community to show its support for Israel in a way that did not simply involve donating money.

Mr Aziz said: “People can include their email address and if they want the recipients to write back to them they can. It could turn into a pen-pal relationship.

“It might even encourage the younger generation to come off social media and online to write a letter and sit down and think about it.”

The project launches today on the JNF website: www.jnf.co.uk
